Because there are so many cheap travel adaptors available, people often buy power adaptors thinking they are the complete solution to their power needs. More often than not though, for a device to work properly, the mains power has to be converted to the voltage the device is designed to run on, and so we are offering people these transformers for such a need.

It's important that you work out if these units are going to be able to except your load, so check the rating of your appliance, the important detail is the wattage of it. Then compare it to the wattage of the device listed.

A useful tip here, when deciding whether a device is worth converting. If the device is high energy but cheap to buy, then do not buy a converter for it unless it has sentimental value. A perfect example is a Kettle. A Kettle will use 2000w and will set you back a tidy sum for a converter, but you can buy a Kettle for £10-15 ( except countries like Mexico which will set you back £70!) .
